Great for air shows but any pilot in combat who puts himself into one of these maneuvers is a dead duck. He's slow, losing altitude and SU have always been underpowered and not equipped with the best weapons (unless they have changed that). US doctrine is to see them 40-50 miles away, sort and target the flight members individually and fire two missiles at each. That really breaks up the flight integrity (if you don't shoot down one or two in the process) and one on one nobody (except the Israelis) train for dogfighting the way we do. It still comes down to pilot training and comfort putting your aircraft on the edge and I'd almost guarantee that this show pilot is one of about 5 in Russia that has ever come close to putting the SU this close to the edge.
Just my humble thoughts.
my old man is way cool.
