How do you suppose the slugs are made?
In Response To: OK, I have changed my mind grin ()

Would a slugger go to the trouble to make a die so he can strike his right-reading lead slugs? I've seen lots with the mirror image of the token-design on them, made by striking or pressing a real token into the lead. I don't think they would bother to make a reverse-die to make dollar slot tokens. If lead works in the machine at all, a blank slug would do as well.

As to what a token-mint will let get out... look at all the off center, misstruck, and out of collar tokens in the collector market. The all came from the mint, one way or another.
