Yes the Post Office is totally screwed up. They even changed the English on their web site recently so that now most everything is a package not an envelope. Not only size but thickness and some fuzzy language about uniform thickness and rigidity. What the heck difference does that make? I don't have a problem paying $.17 more to mark my stuff non-machinable. But to charge $1.30 for something that should be $.58 is ridiculous. Like one person mentioned recently, it is cheaper to send something out of the country than to send it across the street.
