You're right Jerry. Maybe I got a little hot and simplified the matter. Nothing like this is ever 100% either way.

I do not however see any of this as a penalty for NOT staying at the Riviera. I see it as incentive to stay at the Riviera.

I haven't given the access to the show floor thing a whole lot of consideration. I was more considering the bonus items. I would think that charging more for attendees who don't stay at the Riv might even be the way to go. That would seem fair to me. I don't know what the numbers are but $50 to $100 extra for convention registration wouldn't seem out of line to me. I have no idea if those amounts would cover it or not, just thinking out loud.
