... As it was explained in detail some time ago here on the board, the Riviara is giving the club a super deal on the use of the convention center as long as they get can rent rooms. If you don't rent the rooms the Riviara is not interested in the deal. Other hotels will gladly accomodate us for a MUCH LARGER cost. So if you want to help keep the costs down for the club then stay at the Riviara. If you DO NOT WANT TO HELP, then you are PENALIZED for not helping. If enough people refuse to stay there then EVERYONE will pay more in the future and everyone gets PENALIZED. Your choice.

As it has been pointed out by Dennis Snoop the people who do not live in LV pay a LOT more to attend the convention. They pay for airfare, car rentals/transprotation, hotels, meals, etc... I wish the convention were held close to me, I would not complain if it were!

Wanna' talk about penalties? What about people who can't afford the trip... they really get screwed!
