Larry.. haha, yea, I have received a bit of hostility and negativity from the board. Not sure why that is, but I'm venturing into areas I'm not familiar with.

The only thing we were told is that the Palms Casino there in Baghdad was up and running during the early part of Saddam's regime. We were told it closed sometime following the invasion of Kuwait, at which point Saddam become "religious" and decided to ban gambling and drinking in Iraq.

I CAN tell you that I work with lots of Iraqi natives who have all heard of the casino, but even I could not google a single thing on it online.

Sorry I don't have more information. I am still looking into it, though.
