Can't disagree more ...

Actual occurance: An overflow rack (200+ chips as I recall) of new code ivories was bought by a club member for $30 or so per chip. There were 3 denominations

Within a week, one of each chip went up on ebay. The seller stated that a rack of 200 would be kept by the seller and that only the few extras would go on ebay (as it has turned out, an utter lie).

All legitimate ivory collectors stopped bidding at about the $60 per chip range. One newby bidder, with the help of a couple of the seller's shills got soaked for $800+ for the 3 chips. I believe that the bidder actually paid less after I let him know that he got hosed.

Now this got was willing to pay $800+ for the 3 chips. The 3 chips are worth $150 to $180.

I believe he got screwed.

You can still get quite a bit of buyer history tho
it WILL still make shilling rampant.
It's already happening in Australia!!!
Not if you bid on CCGTCC members' auctions, only.
That's a good point John ...
What a way to go thru life.
You can never get "screwed" by a shill bidder ...
