Re: Out of curiousity

Let me begin with you do a great job, and I offer no criticism. Is there a specific set of guidelines detailing what makes a HOF? I know the sports hall of fames have various specific guidelines. I know that any member can nominate, and the existing HOF members vote. While reading the wonderful club mag, I saw the form and as I am prone to do, wondered what the specific guidelines may be.

I figure the contributions a person does for the club is a serious consideration (volunteering, serving as an officer). I can see a person being a good candidate if they have done major things for the hobby generally (such as researching the various casinos before the club even existed, writing a book, etc). But what about folks who may have contributed to the hobby by promoting different chips, keeping their records (I guess this may apply to industry folks as opposed to members of the club-maloofs?). What about members who have passed? I also wonder if it would be possible topublish who the nominees were.

All that being queried, I think I know who I want to nominate, but I better go check to be sure they aren't already in the HOF. I look forward to seeing this years inductee
