Wierd CaesarsTahoe Plain-mold

Has anyone come up with an explanation for this strange chip? Listed in TCR as NCV with no denomination (but with orange denomination!). Listed in James' book as 500 NCV, stamped baccarat. Both show it holed. I don't know how anyone could tell the denomination or color since the monster hole completely took out whatever numerals were in the center.

I've had this chip for 10 or more years. I think it came from ArminP. It is 41 mm in diameter, not a standard size that I've seen before.

If you look closely, the basic chip was actually blanked out with six places for inserts. Three of these are filled with 3-color sxs inserts, and three have been filled with large inserts of the color of the base chip. I've marked the locations with three lines on the reverse of the chip. I also changed the lighting on this side to bring out the depressions; the chip surface is not really textured as it appears.

There were other plain mold chips made for Caesars Tahoe, some NCV, and some denominated, and all were oversize (but not this size). I've only seen one other example of this chip. Who else has the chip? Who has a story?
