I prefer to place all the chips I wish to trade in a Bubble Mailer, send a scan to my trading partner, await a determination on our possible trade. This eliminates the embarrassment of having a trader "go missing". Also, Rick pointed out you shouldn't have too many "what ifs" on your traders.
