If it were my sale, and these were the circumstances, I think I would prefer to start the auction over. Some legit bidders could have seen the price going way up and decided not to even monitor it anymore....I know I do that all the time. When the bids go way over what I think is reasonable, it causes a disconnect.....I stop looking. If you had access to the legit bidders, what would you do? Email them? It seems like the horse is out of the barn.. Start over. Or am I missing something?
