I picked Scotland since I posted a 200 Drachmai from Greece in response to Charles Mades post yesterday.
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Scotland consist of the northern part of the island of Great Britain.
The note is a 1996 issue from the Clydesdale bank of 5 Pounds. It is a commemorative note of the Poetry of Robert Burns. The front features poet Robert Burns at left. With the poem A Man's a Man for 'that' – The back has a Mouse and a Rose from Burns poems at center. The little field mouse on the back is a favorite of mine. The watermark is an image of an old sailing ship like is seen on the front and back registration of this note. The note was engraved by British engraver Joseph Lawrence Keen (1919-2004) and printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co (BW&C). This note is in UNCirculated condition and carries a $25.00 book value that could be enhanced by the low serial number. ENJOY!!
