The Italian Republic is a 700 mile long peninsula extending into the heart of the Mediterranean Sea. The note selected is a 1944 issue 10 Lire. I chose 1944 because, I’m guessing, it is not too far from your birth year. The front has the Portrait of King Emanuele III at left (who also has a tattoo on his leg of a Hotrod -see below-) . The back has ‘Italia’ at right. Printed by Officina Della Banca D'Italia from 1935 until 1944 its watermark is a woman’s head facing left, and contains no other security devices. Since this note is like Ralph (old and wrinkled ) the book value is only $2.00 (Ralph’s may possibly be a little higher, pending mileage). ENJOY!!
