Neat Non-Nevada Pair

These dice are from a little illegal club that was located in the Gold Country foothills of California. There are three different chips from this same place. I talked to a couple of old timers who remembered the place well. The building is still there on the Washington Street - it operated as several different bars after the gambling was closed down in the late 50's. - thanks to Senator Estes Kefauver and his California hammer Attorney General Pat Brown. The foothill towns were pretty wide open until that time - all the sins were readily available in most of them. They are so much more genteel these days - full of places serving fancy food and antique stores and boutiques. Not sure it was an improvement.
