Got home Friday night to get an email, suspected fraud alert from PayPal. I immediately logged on to my PayPal account to discover that a PayPal verified account going by Payment Proxy Inc had taken $300 out of my account. I called PayPal to inform them this was not authorized by me and changed my password. Within 8hrs Paypal restored the money to my PayPal account. Now, I have lost any faith in internet security. I never respond to any PayPal or ebay email but always log on direct to both. PayPal informed me that Payment Proxy Inc is a third party account that collects for other people???? Anyone know more about this? Seems like this is an open invitation for fraud? The internet may be a great tool but it is anything but secure!!!! Beware!!!!!!!!!!
