Time to read up on all those "how to play poker" books. The Third Annual Celebrity Poker Tournament takes place at Caesars Palace on Saturday, Feb. 16, with a VIP reception at PURE Nightclub. All proceeds will benefit Opportunity Village. Initial celebrities scheduled to participate include magician Ronn Lucas, Frankie and Joey Scinta of The Scintas, the hotties from "Thunder from Down Under," and poker pro Oklahoma Johnny Hale, but you can bet there will be many more come the first bet. Check-in begins at 11:30 a.m. and the tournament begins at 1 p.m.

The No-Limit Texas Hold 'Em Tournament will offer a seat in the World Series of Poker plus additional cash and prizes. The tournament is open to the public with a $500 buy-in and unlimited re-buys available through the sixth round for $300. A second-chance tournament will be available to players who bust out of the main event before the sixth round. The buy-in for the second chance tournament is $200 and there are no re-buys.

The second chance tournament winner will receive a seat at the main championship table. For those not wanting to play, $50 gives you access to watch the tournament and attend a VIP reception at PURE featuring live entertainment, a silent auction, open bar and gourmet hors d'oeuvres. You must be 21 or over to enter and must present a valid photo ID the day of the tournament.
