I buy and sell on eBay and it seems sellers have a completely different set of problems from the buyers. Fees are the main harpoon to the sellers, but that's what eBay is in business for (profit). Plus, you have to admit eBay is virtually the only game in town, sure there are other places to sell but eBay has the hits and makes the sales. Next buyers and sellers will always balk at who takes the risk in a transaction. Normally the buyer takes the risk, sending payment first, taking the risk on the post office's delivery, the risk it is sent/sent to correct address, then the risk of unfavorable feedback. There are bad buyers as well as sellers; you see posts about them both on the chipboard. I don't know what the best solution is but I agree that the feedback system has been partially broken up to now. The buyer is gaining clout in transactions via paypal but that lends itself to unscrupulous buyers. It's a tough situation. Even with the flaws, eBay is very alive and well! I am glad to see changes, it shows someone is concerned about the problem.
