Crews Put Out Fire in Riviera Hotel
Posted: Feb 2, 2008 10:48 AM PSTClark County Fire investigators have put out a fire in the hotel of the Riviera Hotel & Casino. It broke out around 7:30AM. The building is located on Las Vegas Boulevard north of Desert Inn. There are no reports of any injuries. The floor was evacuated.
Investigators say an unattended candle caused the fire. It caused heavy smoke damage to one room.
"Crews" put out this fire? Later it sez "Clark County Fire investigators have put out a fire..." , oh, I see, crews of investigators.
The "building"? Right, just past that Wynn's building. Ah yes, it's the weekend and this is what passes for Sat/Sun news coverage these days.
BTW, no candles in my room for me at the 2008 show! I joined the Riv's player's club last year and due to my play, I'm getting the electricity comped in June!
