This is not an attack on you or anyone else. Back to the simple facts, if we don't support the club and pay the convention rates no matter how cheap you can get the same room, we might not have a convention at the Riviera next year.
Second, the "fairness" to Las Vegas club members......Rent a room for 2 nights...PERIOD. I think the locals should be treated the same way I am treated, they can pay $200 - $500 for airfare, and the $300+ for the hotel room and you get to go to the convention....sounds fair to me and everyone else you has to fly into Vegas for the convention.
And YES Michael, it IS the members that are to blame! If our membership base whines about staying at the Riviera and we don't book enough rooms this year, we can cut down the convention to a weekend show or not have a convention at all.
The facts are very simple; we are a VERY small fish in the Las Vegas Convention Pond and our choices in casinos that will support us is drying up every year.
