The EDGE network sucks. But the browsing experience on an iPhone is the best I have seen on a mobile device. When using the iPhone with a WIFI connection (which is readily available anywhere these days) its zippy and the interface makes it a winner. Remember though that the biggest you can get right now is 8GB. The iPod touch can give you double the storage (16GB and rumored to be 32 coming soon, although it wasnt announced at MacWorld) and all the same features minus the phone.
