From the looks of the pictures it appears that what burned was the "stonework" of stucco sprayer over Styrofoam. I first noticed this construction method when I saw a hole in an exterior wall of the Venetian. I'm sure, after the MGM fire, that this must be OK according to the fire code. Don't you think?
