Unfortunately, I'll be unable to make the convention this year (I'm shooting for next year being my first one, regardless of where it's held) but I received an email offer from the Wynn - a free night at a resort room. Now, I work at a bank and would never be able to afford to stay there, so I'm jumping at the chance. But it's also pointless to go to Vegas for one night, so I was looking for a cheap place to stay for a few days. I'm at the Wynn on Wednesday April 30 and was thinking about getting a suite at the Plaza ($62 a night) from the 27th-30th and then hop over to the Wynn the 30th and leave the 1st of May.

Question - Does anyone have any other cheap recommendations on accomidations or does anyone know how the suites at the Plaza are? Also, how are the rooms at the Wynn? I've heard everything from I'd be afraid to touch anything in it to it's all hideous and gawdy.
