On one trip several of us chartered a twin engine fishing boat. Good story about the two engines, I will save for another day.

We cleared the bay and came upon a sea of garbage. It was so big you could not see across it or see the end of it in any direction. I asked the captain if the cruise ships had dumped it.

His reply:
All garbage from Trinidad is dumped in a wash. High tide takes it out to sea.
This was one of the saddest things I ever saw. Not sure where the tide takes the garbage but would guess the Antartic. How can the "WORLD POWERS" let this go on?
