I got an email from a long time club member and a dealer at all the conventions that I can remember. I would say, even today, that he is a most reputable dealer.
We came to terms on a trade. When my chip arrived it turned out to be the same shade as what I had. Now I probably already had 2 or 3 green FPs at the time. I emailed the dealer. He told me to return it. I did. Several days later he emailed me that I had switched chips and was trying to cheat him. Of course if I wanted to cheat someone, then possible the hundreds of previous deals involving chips up to a hundred times more valuable might have been a better choice. I had never before or ever since been accused of trying to cheat anyone. I told him to keep the chip I returned and to also keep the chips I originally sent for the trade. That was my last transaction with him.
To this day I beleive that he believes that I cheated him over a $25 chip. There is a possibility that I did switch chips. If I did it was because all the chips I had were the same shade so I may have retuned one of mine and not the exact one he sent me. In any event I still need a dark green FP.
Unfortunately I will probably never deal with the guy even though I have nothing against him. I could care less about the chips I lost, but to be accused of cheating him over such a minor transaction I find just incredible.
