I'm sorry Aaron, but I think this is exactly the problem! That is one reason that I volunteered to serve on the committee Steve proposed. Why should it be the same old group of people giving input, making suggestions, and poo-poo'ing new ideas? The point is to get NEW ideas! Not have the same old group (clique?) involved.

As for volunteering at the convention, suppose one doesn't go to the convention? Does that mean they can't volunteer in some other way? There's more to this group than the convention, isn't there?

As for discussions occurring on this board, it is very rare that a discussion actually occurs. Either someone jumps in very new the beginning to say "that was already discussed" or someone says something to the effect of "that's not the way we do things", or the "discussion" degenerates into people arguing with each other and/or calling people names, threatening bodily harm, etc. That is one reason I rarely post anything on this board. I'd just as soon not be ridiculed or start something that leads to some major argument.

Please understand that I am not trying to start an argument and I'm not trying to tick anyone off. What Steve has suggested is, IMHO, an excellent idea and a great way to get more people involved.
