I have had scans made by every other person participating, which has helped to document the condition of the chips and the status along the way.
It is for this reason that I am now requiring each and every participant to scan the pages of chips both the way the receive them as well as how they are going to the next person. Scans must be in good resolution and large enough to see detail.
Let me review a couple of points:
There is to be no "Upgrading". You can not take out a chip in mint condition and replace it with the same chip in near mint condition. I know "near mint" condition may be bit general for some, but in my mind, it is clear. A near mint chip has seen some table use, but there are no chips, nicks, dings or dents. The edges can be less then razor sharp (as you would find with a mint chip), but they have a fairly sharp edge. There should be no damage on a near mint chip. All chips should be CLEAN. Allow me to restate that....ALL chips must be clean. If your chip is in near mint condition, but has some dirt on it...take a couple minutes out of your busy day to clean the darned thing before putting it into the pages. A little dish soap and a little brush will go a long, long way.
If you get the round robin and find chips that you don't feel meet the mint/near mint criterion, or if there are duplicate chips (which is not allowed) please email me ASAP.
This Round Robin is intended to give participants an opportunity to get some nice chips for their collection and to increase their selection of traders with some great condition chips. There are clear and concise rules included with the package, please take a minute to read them when the package arrives BEFORE you start taking chips out.
I will not name names here on the chipboard, so please refrain from asking. I will be dealing with the subject privately, and hopefully it has now been nipped in the bud.
