Republicans donate money to charity...no denying that, but it is because of the tax advantages of doing so. Do you honestly think if Democrats had the same income level as Republicans they would not donate MORE than Republicans? If you are a working class person making $50,000 per year and you donate $1000 per year, that is a lot of money. If you make $250,000, you can certainly afford and it is to your TAX advantage to donate more than 2%. Giving away money to your tax advantage is not the definition of compassion in my dictionary. Argue against that....
