Republicans would step over the homeless man because they don't see them.
Democrats would talk to the homeless man, know him by name, ask how he is feeling and buy him a meal.
Unless the homeless man is also an illegal, out of work gardener, I highly doubt the Republican would offer him a job.

The word compassion is simply not in the Republicans dictionary or play book. It's strangely odd to me that such a large percentage of homeless are vets, the Republicans pride themselves so much on their so-called concern to throw billions into a winless war "for the troops" but then they ignore the homeless problems and veterans health problems almost entirely. The same double standard exists on the issue of life. Republicans say to choose life but also the death penalty. Why do Republicans feel they know best on what lives should be saved and which should be sacrificed?

One must live life to understand life. A life of privilege does not count as living life.
Ask a Republican to have empathy for someone living paycheck to paycheck. They can't even comprehend the concept.
