Poking around the Las Vegas folder in IE Favorites tonight. Since Chris and Sheldon bagged David Schwartz for a convention seminar I thought I'd check his blog, swing by there so's you can get a feel for the guy. http://www.dieiscast.com/
Linked over from there to a travel review site and since my sister is headed down to Bally's this spring, I sent her the pertinent page. Folks have always seemed to like the place. I once had a resevation there back when it was the MGM but they had that fire the week before so I stayed home. 
Did check out the Riviera page just for grins. Riv is ranked #126 out of 245 LV dumps! Sheesh. The reviews were all thankfully short and to the point as well as brand new, worthwhile reads. 2nd review is titled “Not as bad as everyone says it is!!!” There you go! 
The Riv in a nutshell. Fill with chip gnomes and add a few splashies and vacate before the TS Beauty Peagent and you'll have a good time. Lets see, the odd gripe about "long check-in lines" appears. For the first-timers this coming June, here's the deal on that. If you can fall out of a tree and hit the ground you can handle check-in.
Don't miss the pretentious review by trellism of London “Threadbare Taste of the Old Vegas”. This evolved Druid penned thus: ...the small and cheap-looking toiletries in the bathroom made me feel sad. Gadzooks! One look at the moisturizer and the guy is out the window!
