I apologize for the scan, but red dice are very hard to scan, and since I needed to do an extreme blow-up and lighten the image, well see for yourself. What I have is a die that measures 11/16ths. On four of it's faces there is a stamping of the initials "MC". It appears on the 1, 2, 3 and 4 sides. The 5 and 6 are void of any stampings. The stampings on the 2 and 4 sides are double-stamped. Perhaps the extra stampings were intended for the 5 and 6 sides?
All edges and corners are beveled, not square, not rounded and not worn down, but machine beveled. So I suspect that it is a precision die, i.e., casino quality. It came with a mate, but there is no stamping on any surface, but the beveled edging is present.
The two images are from the same scan, an overall view and a close-up of "MC".
So, any suggestions for origin (maker) or place of usage?
Thanks, Jim
