These records also showed me that as much as I like it, pot limit hold 'em is not my game. And, btw, neither is no-limit cash hold 'em. I like both games, but over the long haul, I am a loser at them. I have fared a little bit better in tournament no limit, but my bread and butter is limit hold'em in the $10-$20 to $20-$40 range. I have averaged +2 big bets per hour at these levels for a long time.
BTW, it is also a good idea to drop down a level when you are running bad for a prolonged period. A few sessions at a table where you know you are well ahead (expectation-wise) never hurts.
Also, don't kid yourself....if you are not positive that you are indeed a winning player over the long haul, then you probably are not. If that is the case, get some books, definitely drop down and fix the holes in your game.
