Couple New City Center Pics for the day!

Here is a couple new pics I took y'day. The job is coming along great. Steel and glass are going up like wildfire! Sadly that is about all that is getting done right now. Most other crafts on the job are in a holding pattern till the steel is erected and all the slabs are poured.

This is a couple my buddies bending 4" rigid conduit to supply all that power needed to run those beautiful slot machines vbg

This will someday be the casino floor. Can you see it???

This is casino/retail. The steel is crazy on this job. There are so many pitches on this roof. It will be very cool when finished! If you look closely you can see the white Tram rail has been set. When finished it will tie City Center to the Bellagio and the Monte Carlo. This pic is a tram stop that will let people out right at the Casino.

This is another shot of that building. Also in the pic are the Veer Towers West and East. Notice the angle of the concrete pillars. When these towers are finished they will "veer" across each other.

Lastly, this is the Cirque Theatre. The Ironworkers on the job have been working tons of OT trying to get all this steel erected on the job. The entire seating area that you can see has been erected in the last couple weeks! The high structure in the center of the pic is the stadium seating. If you look very close, behind the crane basket, there is a huge hole in the ground. That is where the stage for the Cirque show will raise and lower.

Glad to report, there have been no new deaths on the job since the last Ironworker fell at Cosmo. Lets all hope and pray that 2008 will be a better year for all working on this project! RIP to all our Brothers who have lost their lives in 2007 sad

Happy New Year to all and by the way..............WAR EAGLE!!!!!!!!!!
