In your first post you asked about 'turning on the alarm'. Later you posted: Was his collectables going to fight off the theifs? If the alarm was on it won't fight a burgler anymore than the collectibles.

If you know a way to prevent this please notify all BANKS in America. They get robbed WITH alarms, good locks, police at the ready, and tons of preventative measures taken but it STILL happens. So what IS the secret?? An alarm system won't stop them it just limits the time they have. Even ADP does not call the police on first alarm, they call someone to verify it's NOT a false alarm (non-commercial).
