The chips were made by Osborne coinage for the casino a few years ago. They were approved by gaming and appeared on the approval list.
They were delivered to the Palms but immediately rejected due to both poor quality (these do have some obvious printing faults), and thickness (only 19 would fit in a rack).
They were taken back by Osborne and destroyed. Only a few survived.
The chips came in two finishes - the one on the left has a texture created by lots of tiny raised dimples (which are actually 'OC's). The one on the right is smooth. The common back is shown to the right of the scan.
Less than 20 of the textured and less than 10 of the smooth exist.
