Terry recommends disecting your collection into different collections, so its more manageable. My collection is modest, so I can probably fit it into one collection (and then break off pieces as it becomes bigger).

Anyway, building on this idea, I created two new collections: "Incoming" and "Outgoing". When I buy or trade a chip, I immediately enter the details under "Incoming". The chip comes in, I scan it, then transfer the listing over to my main collection. Likewise, when I trade a chip, I transfer the listing to "Outgoing". Then, when I hear the chip arrives safely, I delete it from outgoing...

This allows me to easily track what's going in and out... Ever pay for/trade for a chip you don't think you got? Its happened to me before, but never again...
