You get a set amount for tournaments or sit and go play. You only earn them in ring games when playing in a hand after a rake has been taken from the pot. Three months is plenty of time to earn the bonus unless you play the games that don't have a number to the left of the decimal point in the bet limits. 2 and 4 cent hold'em could take a year to earn 750 FPP's!

This advice is coming from someone who owns a leather PokerStars jacket, paid for with 10,000 FPP's! And I have a couple sweatshirts (high quality, these guys are Canadian-based after all), t-shirts, a hat or two, all bought with FPP's. I've also used FPP's to enter cash tournaments and have made a few bucks doing that.
