Woohoo!
Sorry, but I just gotta brag to somebody!
Went to Eureka Casino in Mesquite yesterday (was sent a $35 "cash back" check from them...hey, free money!)
Instead of being smart and just cashing the cash-back check and leaving with it, I plugged it into a Super Times Play Poker machine. Not being very brave lately, I played the lowest denomination - ugly, dirty nickels!
Having a good time playing (slowly making some money) when suddenly the multiplier popped up (8X) with 4 to a royal flush. I was playing 5 hands, and sure enough one of them filled in for a
royal flush X 8! Woohoo - watch the bells and whistles go off!
I took the money and ran (after tipping the daylights out of everyone including the cleaning gal that emptied my ash tray all night!).......here is a photo of Lacie (the chihuahua) with just the $100 bills.
Break down: $500 into stuff that is needed or has broken down around the house lately.....$500 for a donation to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah.....$1000 for NYE with Julie and Ron at the Riviera (woooo, $$$ for the Splashbar!).....and tada!- $1000 into my Vegas tin bank for the convention (ok, it's actually safely in the savings account at the bank with a "reminder" slip in the tin bank)....the rest deposited into the household checking account (pay off some gasoline credit cards? sigh!)
Thanks Rick for the convention savings contest - this is fun!
Yup, ugly dirty nickels are nice!
