The "ex Hughes exec" supposedly said he had been instructed to start liquidating the rack. Who knows how many more, if any, there are.
What we do know from other research re Castaways/Borland was that Hughes corp held back from destruction or other disposal 20 of each denom from each of their closed properties to make into sets and give to 'retiring execs' as and when they left the Hughes employ.
Several years ago one such exec contacted me and sold me his sets up to the $500 denoms. I got a good deal at $120
One of the pics 'wchormicle' sent me shows the boxes at the top of your pic. I will have to see if I can find it. Funny thing is, he sent me the pics the day after he bought the chips when he knew nothing about them, asking me "I know nothing about chips, are these worth anything or have I been had?".
I made him an offer which he politely declined and he then went ahead on ebay.
I did have a listing of what there was - it was something like 20 different chips and an exact 40 qty of each.
Apparently, had I offered $10 a piece across the board I would have got them.
