I'm no expert, and this may not do it, but it won't hurt. Try the following:

Start
All Programs
Accessories
System Tools
Disk Defragmenter

I suggest this because of the reference to fragmentation in your error message. What it does is rearrange the data on the disc, so that data is next to data and there are larger free areas. It should speed up your computer somewhat and allow it to run more efficiently. It's been there since the dos days.
