Just a follow-up to answer Steve's initial post/question.

The name "Splash Bar" came from the show that was running in the showroom at the Riviera called "Splash". The show has since ended it's run, and the Splash Bar no longer has the gaudy signage ... but no matter what the new name is finally decided for this watering hole ... it will always be the "Splashbar" to many of the chippers who will continue to frequent there as long as the club continues to hold its conventions at the Riv.
