The wonderful resources that have been developed for chip collectors, such as Greg's Chip Guide and the others mentioned in this thread all started with an idea like yours--a collector saw something that could be useful and did something about it.
My suggestion is that you explore creating the pages you think are needed under a website of your own making and let Greg link to it the same way he has the others we've mentioned. You can even pattern it to look exactly like Greg's in layout. Basic website design is not difficult or expensive. Everything I've learned has been on my own through the resources available online.
Even though you've said you're willing to do the work, the additions you're talking about would still involve a LOT of work on Greg's part since he hosts the site and must maintain the integrity of how it operates. And, Greg is already doing a tremendous amount for the hobby.
