Tammy - eChecks mean that PayPal takes money from the buyer's checking account, puts it on hold while payment clears, and then gives you the go-ahead to ship the item once it has cleared. As a seller, I receive these fairly infrequently. I don't like them because I like to have the transaction paid for and shipped within 24 hours of auction's end, but I accept them. They are another option for buyers, and how many times have people asked the rhetorical question on this Board: "why would you want to limit any of the buyer's payment options?" More options could result in higher bids.
