A long time ago I was a member of the AC chapter, the only time I was able to make it in time to the meetings was if I drove to AC (from NYC) many people pound the hound (take the bus) to AC because it's cheaper than driving.
Most buses from NYC, the largest population of AC visitors arrive at AC 11:30 - 12 noon. unless you take an Academy bus from Port Authority where you can leave at any time, but it's inconvenient for me. Why don't you move the meeting time to say 1 P.M. if you want to increase your membership.
