On Tuesday we made the G2E show, but left late evening for Los Angeles. Wednesday was all LA, with a return to Vegas late night Wednesday and up early for G2E on Thursday. I had a great time at G2E and I wholeheartedly thank my Sponsor!
I bumped into many collectors there, but see very little offerings here of harvested samples. Perhaps we were on our best behavior.
Friday was a down day for personal reasons and by the time Saturday rolled around, I did not want to return to Tucson (and work) just yet. So, I extended for a week, but again needed to make a run into Los Angeles. And what a trip that was! Stopping in downtown (the Toy District), Gardena, Fairfax and then into the Valley! What a day!
We left LA Thursday, getting back to Vegas and time just slipped away! I met-up with Barry H, twice and bumped into him a third time. How is it that two people that don't even live in the same town can bump into each other? Barry, you are a great guy and I thank you!
Well, I'm glad to be back (my internet access is best from here) and I'll be getting my 33-pool chips into tomorrow's mail!
Whenever I get to Vegas I have a tendency to go-missing from the message boards, but this trip was longer than planned and several people contacted me or asked on the board where I was. I thank them for their concern, but it was only a question of being able to have full and complete access. Now that I back to Tucson, you will see my activity pick up!
Speaking of which, if you've read this far, then be advised that it is contest time! During my two week long trip to Vegas, I ventured out to only one casino to pick-up chips. What casino was it and (chip wise) what was my take?
The first fully correct answer posted here will receive this set of ShuffleMaster, 25th Anniversary advertising chips. These were in-use at the ShuffleMaster booth at the G2E and they appear much like last year's version, however, instead of the GPI advertising on the reverse, they have ShuffleMaster's 25th Anniversary logo. (It does not appear that a "1" version exists.) (Both sides are shown, but the set only includes five chips.)
Good Luck!
Jim
