I absolutely understand and agree. Unfortunately, I am not in the financial position some of you guys are. That extra $240+ may mean the difference in whether I can afford the trip or not. I work an hourly pay job and don't have the spending cash to pay whatever the cost is nor can I afford to gamble enough to get comps. I am willing to carry a bag with a change of clothes and take the Duece for $5 per day to save $240. I was in Vegas for the first time in August and did not find that taking the bus was overly burdensome. I found it a safe, comfortable and cheap way to move around. I stayed at the Plaza and visited almost every downtown, strip and near-strip casino on that visit by taking the bus. I had to experience as much as possible on my first visit.
This is not for you and others, I certainly understand. I hope you can also understand my financial situation and limitations. I live paycheck to paycheck and will have to cut back on other things to make this trip. This probably isn't your situation or problem, but it is both of those things for me. I hope my on-the-cheap questions do not offend. I mean no offense and for most of the people on this board your advice applies. In my situation, unfortunately at this time, it does not. I 'am' willing to take contributions to my trip fund if anyone wants to help me pay for a room at the Riv!
