Seems like the tone of an intial answer to a query about the '48 small key ThunderBird question was "This has been discussed many times before..." That is actually true but that doesn't mean we don't want to discuss it AGAIN! Don't take such remarks to heart. Hang in there and you'll soon find the context that goes with a lot of the interplay you see here on the board. We all know that something interesting could be revealed to us here any day in the next line we read by any one of us, old salt or brand new collector. Nothing sets off the week better when some little tidbit brings one of those "AHA!" moments. The ThunderBird question? Who's to say the final answer won't be revealed before we sign off until tomorrow. We're all searching for something everyday and anyone is welcome to come along. The discussion on the T-Bird chip still holds interest for us and is really pretty reflective of what we do here in the hobby. Keyword "'48 thunderbird" in an archive search and you'll find a ton of good info, discussion, guesses and potshots.
So you've asked a question and haven't gotten an answer. Don't worry about the either. We don't all hate you. It happens to all of us. I asked a question a couple of weeks ago and nobody answered. That means that perhaps no one knows or that the person who does know might not have seen the question. Don't stress if a day or two goes by and your question sinks off the bottom of the page or 88 folks read the post with no response. Jobs, various adventures and the odd restraining order take up everyone's time at some point and the chipper with your answer may not be here to post a response. Maybe the club could get one of those Magic 8-Ball dealies for the library! "All will be revealed" That would be better than 88 "I don't know." reponses.
BTW, when I find out the answer to my question, I'll be sure and share it, after all, it could be someone else's "Aha" moment too.
