Though I'm not able to answer your question, do you think your chip has a cancellation on the inlay similar to the example seen below?

I bought approx 50 Skyline $1 chips several years ago and two examples (one seen below) have what looks like a 7/16 ring impression on one side.

Note the $, 1 and i.
