I hear what you all are saying.I am stubborn that's all.
Have been collecting various things for years and some of the collections have been up in the several hundreds...thousands, for records... and yet I plod on in my Neanderthal way of organization.It has worked amazingly well for me,but I am realizing that I had better get it together,especially if I am going to be attending conventions and shows.
For the older chips I am not too worried as I will only have to deal with a couple of hundred or less maybe,but it is the holiday chips that I realize that I will have a problem with,mainly because many of them have different images on the obverse,and sometimes sellers show only one side when listing them for sale or trade,so I have picked up a few(not many)dupes especially at the beginning of this hobby.
Mind you...I blame that on me being inexperienced.Now that I am motoring along at a good research clip and my learning curve is going up,I think and hope that those mistakes will dwindle as I shed my newbie status.
But you are right,I should get......and will get..... better organized.With me though,I am sure that it will be with notebook and pen as my computor will be for email,eBay and poker.....oh yeah....and the chipboard.
