... which says, in part, that he has been associated with the Church of Christ since the 1980's, describes himself as a Christian and says that he is "rooted in the Christian tradition".
Also, there is no requirement that the presidential oath of office be taken on a bible ... at least two presidents have been sworn in without one (Rutherford B. Hayes and Theodore Roosevelt).
FWIW, I'd much rather see Obama elected than Hillary Clinton, though neither are among my top three candidates.
As an aside, a couple of years ago, I joined a growing group of veterans who choose to render a military salute, rather than placing our hands over our hearts, during the playing of the national anthem (whether or not we happen to be wearing a hat at the time), as well as at any other time that a salute would be appropriate if in uniform (e.g., during the passing of the flag at a parade). The practice of uncovering and placing one's hand over the heart is a matter of custom, not law ... and there is legislation now pending in Congress which would specifically authorize all veterans to salute the flag, at all times, rather than placing their hands over their hearts. This practice was started by a retired major general and West Point grad and many of my classmates and other West Pointers have adopted it.
