There are a lot of ways to do it. One way --that I did-- was to hit the keys (on my Mac) Command+Shift+3. That takes a picture of everything on my monitor. It places a "picture.png" (whatever that is) on my desktop. Then I take my picture editor to crop it and convert it into a jpg. (There are other simple key strokes that allow you to crop it initially and put it onto your clipboard and then into an email or document -- all very simply in a matter of seconds. ... .. .... You just look for help or a Google search under "screen shot" and "screenshots."
